About PLN 3 billion will be spent on investments by 36 entrepreneurs who received permits to operate in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “INVEST-PARK” in 2016. The implementation of the projects will result in the creation of 1,300 jobs.
Around PLN 650 million will be spent by Toyota in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone. The investment projects will be connected with launching the production of hybrid gearboxes and new petrol engines. As a result of the investment, the corporation has declared to generate at least 100 new jobs.
Adapting professional, technical and higher education to employers’ needs and the effects of the functioning of special economic zones in Poland were among the topics discussed during the Self-government Congress, which was held in Opole. The Sitech company is about to begin the production of car seats for Volkswagen in Września. Sitech’s facility is located in a production hall built by the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone in close proximity to the premises owned by the German motorization giant. Volkswagen’s subsidiary is going to employ over 80 people.
