Toyota supports “Mechanik”

Six gearboxes worth 30 thousand złoty were passed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland to School Complex number 5 in Wałbrzych. The cooperation between Japanese concern operating in Wałbrzych’s zone and “Mechanik” takes place already for 15 years.

Gearboxes are the next equipment that was presented to the school by the Toyota factory. Their cooperation lasts since the 2000, when the Japanese concern gave the school a machine centre.

– Thanks to our support youth leaving the school can find a job easier, often at better paid jobs, with needs of higher qualifications. Some of them find their employment in our facility – explains Mariusz Mikołajczyk, Vice-president of Toyota’s factory in Wałbrzych. -Besides physical support, a couple of years ago we also started a probations programme for students from universities and vocational schools – he adds.

The Toyota factory in Wałbrzych was not long ago awarded by the Ministry of Economy for their supporting of vocational education. Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone awarded also the teachers and students from School Complex number 5. The Japanese concern and Wałbrzych’s “Energetyk” are also members of Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone’s Education Cluster “INVEST in EDU”.
