How do enterprises from Dolnośląskie province look compared to other ones in Poland? Are they open for changes and innovative? These issues were discussed by business and local governments representatives during a conference “Plans and challenges for MSME from Dolnośląskie Province in 2015”.
Entrepreneurs in Poland are very active and gallant but in Dolnośląskie Province of those most active are as far as 25% more compared to the national levels. They are the ones that continuously look for new markets and ways of developing their business activity. We call them the Sharks of the Micro and Small Business – explains Małgorzata Starczewska-Krzysztoszek, the main economist for Lewiatan Confederation.
Small companies are more and more interested in investing on the territories of Walbrzych Special Economic Zone “INVEST-PARK”. In 2014 they received 27 permits to operate in the zone. That is over 40% of all the permits that were granted in that period.
So far the economic zone was mostly recognized as associated with big and foreign corporations. This picture is changing. Smaller companies invest here, often as suppliers and entities cooperating with global enterprises – said during the conference Barbara Kaśnikowska – the president of WSEZ “INVEST-PARK”.
The conference “Plans and challenges for MSME from Dolnośląskie Province in 2015” was organized by the Lewiatan Confederation and employer’s association The Employers of Dolnośląskie Province. Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone was the partner of the meeting.
WSEZ “INVEST-PARK” is planning to organize an expo for suppliers and smaller entrepreneurs. The Zone is also active in the field of vocational education and adjusting it to the needs of entrepreneurs. This year WSEZ built four production halls which can make the decisions of new investments easer for the companies from SME sector.
