SKC Haas, a company operating within the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, has won the Business Stars competition in the “Socially Responsible Business” category. Among the “Medium-sized Companies”, ZPAS-NET was the runner-up.
It was the first edition of this business poll intended to single out companies that stand out on the economic map of Lower Silesia. Sixty entities competed in six categories: micro, small and medium-sized company, “First Business”, “Business-friendly Local Government”, and “Socially Responsible Business.”
Among the laureates are two companies functioning in the Wałbrzych Zone. ZPAS-NET, a manufacturer of industrial enclosures, cabinets and wiring based in Nowa Ruda, came second in the “Medium-sized Companies” category.
SKC HAAS Polska was the winner of the “Socially Responsible Business” category. The company has functioned in Dzierżoniów for six year. This South Korean manufacturer of display films for LCD screens has adopted a business practice code based on honesty, ethics and respect for the employees, partners and the local community.
“INVEST-PARK” was a co-organizer of the poll. Barbara Kaśnikowska, President of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, was a member of the competition jury. She also presented the award in the “Small Business” category, which went to a Wrocław-based company Geotrade. The competition was organized by the Wałbrzych Regional Fund and the naszbiznes24.pl portal.
