Competitions with prizes, sports and arts games, performances by local bands and Mesajah’s concert – these are but a few of the attractions of the Zone Family Picnic. The event will be held on 16 May in Wałbrzych. It is organized by companies functioning in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone together with the WSEZ “INVEST-PARK”.
The picnic will be divided in two parts. The first one is intended for the families of employees of Wałbrzych-based companies from the zone: Cersanit, Migapol, NSK, Opalex, Polst, Quin, Ronal, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland, Toyota Tsusho, Tristone. The second part will begin at 2 PM and will be open free of charge to all inhabitants of Wałbrzych.
“The picnic will be organized again after several years of absence. Entrepreneurs from companies functioning in the zone in Wałbrzych took the initiative to reactivate this event. It will be a great chance to have fun together and get to know each other better. The picnic will be co-organized by the gmina of Wałbrzych, and so we are counting on active participation of Wałbrzych inhabitants,” says Barbara Kaśnikowska, President of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “IINVEST-PARK”.
There will be no shortage of attractions for the youngest visitors – painting faces, inflatable castles, art and dance workshops. A special stage will be built for children where Bandit Queen Circus band, known for their appearances in “Poland’s got Talent”, will perform. Circus artists will blow soap bubbles, hand out balloons, walk on stilts and run a hula-hoop workshop.
The older guests will get a chance to participate in sports events with prizes, have something to eat and visit stands where WSEZ companies will prepare special attractions. There will be performances by local artists on the large stage. The Implusto group have prepared a dance show with scarves and fire. PLUS50 will play lots of blues and rock tunes while the Bordowa Bandama duo will dance to the rhythm of hip hop. At around 4 PM, the star of the evening will appear on stage – Mesajah, a reggae, dancehall and ragamuffin singer.
The Zone Picnic will be held at the stadium in Kusocińskiego Street (Piaskowa Góra district) on 16 May.
